Screenwriting
From paper to screen
This course is intended as a starting point for those who wish to develop skills in audiovisual writing. Through practical and theoretical sessions, participants will explore the fundamentals of screenwriting: dramatic structure, character creation, dialogue, genre, rhythm, and professional formatting. Through guided exercises, film analysis and individual feedback, each participant will develop an original idea and learn how to transform it into a short script for a fiction, animation, authorial or even commercial project.

- Understand the fundamentals of audiovisual storytelling, including key concepts such as dramatic structure, conflict, character arc, and turning point.
- Apply the principles of screenwriting to the creation of original stories in short format (short film, pilot scene, sketch, etc.).
- Identify and correctly use standard screenplay formatting, understanding the importance of visual layout and clarity in writing for the screen.
- Develop consistent characters that are relevant to the dramatic progression of the story.
- Write effective dialogue that reveals character, subtext, and dramatic intent.
- Critically analyse screenplays and short films, recognising the screenwriter's narrative techniques and stylistic choices.

Tuition Fee
This course is 100% funded, so the trainee is exempt from paying tuition, enrolment or insurance.
