Graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts, Paris, Michel Bouvet is a poster artist and a graphic designer. Living and working in Paris, he has designed hundreds of posters for theatre, opera, music, dance, art, festivals and public institutions in France and abroad.
Has participated as a poster artist in international biennales in Warsaw, Toyama, Lahti, Helsinki, Brno, Fort-Collins, Mexico, Chaumont, Rzeszow, Sofia, Ogaki, Zagreb, Moscow, Hangzhou, Taipei, Chicago and the Art Directors Club, New York.
Invited as a jury member in international poster biennales in Mexico, Warsaw, Shenzhen, Brno, Chaumont, Hangzhou, Taipei, Chicago, Toyama, Arhus and Bogota.
Has held numerous one-person exhibitions in France, Netherlands, Germany, Rumania, Yugoslavia, Poland, Austria, Portugal, Mexico, USSR, Uruguay, Chile, Finland, India, Philippines, Peru, Cuba, Greece, South Africa, Italy, Czechoslovakia, Argentina, Hungary, Albania, Spain, Japan, Denmark, Turkey, Paraguay, China, Malte, Bolivia, Cambodia and Ecuador.
He was invited as professor for workshops and masterclasses in France, Italy, Sweden, Israel, Canada, Mexico, Bolivia, Paraguay, Brazil, China, Taïwan et Australia.
Professor at the École Supérieure des Arts Graphiques, Paris, he is also a member of Alliance Graphique Internationale since 1997.
