ESAD Lab is an exchange of knowledge; giving our international guests the opportunity to experience design creativity within a Portuguese environment.

The workshop theme is called ‘Portuguese Chair’ and the students have to study principle Portuguese values, icons and influences.

On conclusion, the students will present their ideas for the next generation of Portuguese seating, in the form of sketches, renderings and scale models, whilst learning the history and contemporary life-style of Portugal.

This edition was promoted by esad–idea, Investigação em Design e Arte with the support of ACLC - Associação Cultural Luso-Chinesa.

The course launching, taking place at ESAD IDEA on October 6, has the participation of Huang QingXin, Deputy Director of Beijing Foreign Affairs Office, Fu WenJun, Deputy Director of Culture Technology Division of Beijing Municipal Commission for Science and Technology, Chen HaiYan, Deputy Division Director of Property Management Division in State-owned Cultural Assets Supervision and Administration Office, Luo YanHong, president of Beijing BAMC City TV CO.LTD, and Tao Yanxi, Deputy Secretary General of China Millennium Monument World Art Center.
