
George Hardie is a renown graphic designer, illustrator and professor of Graphic Design at the University of Brighton, teaching on postgraduate courses. He is a master of subtle, intelligent and beautifully crafted visual thinking. George Hardie was a partner at NTA studios and designed many legendary record covers (Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin) with Hipgnosis. He has worked as a designer/illustrator for almost forty years. He's a member of the Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI). In 2005 he was elected a Royal Designer for Industry. In 2006 he toured Australia as AGDA International Speaker and taught and exhibited at Nagoya University of Arts as a visiting professor.
Following the lecture There and Back Again, George Hardie will be running a workshop for students of the MA in Communication Design, coordinated by Andrew Howard.
