Food Product Communication Design

Responding to the challenges of design in business and institutional contexts operating in the production, distribution, dissemination and commercialisation of the food industry.

With the purpose of responding to the challenges of design in business and institutional contexts that operate in the production, distribution, dissemination and marketing of the food industry, this course allows you to acquire skills in the areas of graphic design, packaging design and multimedia technologies for the agri-food and beverage industry, marine agriculture and aquaculture, nutraceutical, nutritional and macrobiotic products, pre-cooked or frozen food products, pre-prepared and preserved foods, as well as for hotels and restaurants. Interdisciplinary training ensures that knowledge is shared and prepares future professionals to join project teams and provide answers to a variety of institutional or business requests, demonstrating the ability to devise, plan, organize, undertake and execute projects where design intersects with the various sectors operating in the vast field of food production.

Profile

Objectives

  • Designing, developing and executing communication and multimedia design projects for multiple advertising platforms in the field of food production.
  • Conceive, develop and execute packaging design projects that enhance food products and brands.
  • Design, develop and execute graphic interfaces for websites and web applications in specific areas of the food sector.
  • To record, edit and publish photographic images, video and animation for the digital production of content in specific areas of the food sector.
  • Incorporate theoretical and technological knowledge into design activities.
  • Be part of collaborative teams in the development of design projects.
  • Respect and promote principles of circularity and sustainability of resources in the Food Industry.
