Pedro Freire is BA in Equipment Design and MA in Product Design from ESAD. Since 1994 is a lecturer at ESAD and researcher of the Product Design and Innovation research area of esad—idea. From 2004 to 2010 lectured in the Industrial Design MA course of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto. 
As a product designer in the INDI department (Industrial Design Investigation) of ESAD he has developed a great number of significant projects for industry. The European project “TFE: Task Furniture in Education” with the National College of Art and Design, Dublin, and “FACS: Future Automotive Cockpit & Storage” with Grupo Simoldes, PSA Groupe, PSA Mangualde and CEiiA are some of the significant projects he has been involved in.
