Nuno Velez

Nuno Velez (Lisbon, 1974) is a Portuguese fashion designer, couturier and costume designer, renowned for his work in wedding dresses and bespoke clothing. He graduated in Fashion Design from the Faculty of Architecture at the Technical University of Lisbon and began his professional career at the Alves/Gonçalves studio, where he worked for over a decade, developing skills in the areas of collection development, pattern-making and tailoring.
Throughout his career, he has collaborated on restoration projects for the Francisco Capelo Fashion Collection, now part of MUDE, and has designed costumes for theatre and opera, notably for productions such as *Carmen*, *Nabucco* and *The Barber of Seville*. In 2011, he joined the studio of Spanish designer Lorenzo Caprile and furthered his training at Central Saint Martins in London.
During her time in São Paulo, she presented bridal collections and collaborated with Maison Alexandrine. In 2020, she opened her own atelier in Lisbon, where she specialises in creating wedding dresses, formal wear and bespoke ready-to-wear, distinguishing herself through technical excellence, attention to detail and a focus on each client’s individuality.
