Miguel Lima holds a degree in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon and undertook an Erasmus period at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze. He first came into contact with independent cinema in 2015 at the production company Ar de Filmes.

In 2016, he moved to Porto to join the animation department at Bando à Parte, where he contributed to artistic teams and the development of award-winning film projects. He is currently developing personal and collective projects at BAP – Animation Studio. He co-directed his first animated short film, Quase Me Lembro, with Dimitri Mihajlovic.
