Marta Cruz
Marta Cruz is an architect dedicated to teaching and researching subjects at the intersection of Architecture, Art and Social Sciences, focusing particularly on the role of Drawing as an instrument for rendering knowledge, questioning reality and triggering processes of conceptualization and design.
She graduated in Architecture (1998, FAUP) and undertook postgraduate studies in France — DEA (2003, Université Paul Cézanne) and a PhD (2009, ENSA Marseille). From 2012 to 2017, she studied Drawing and Painting at FBAUP. She is currently an Adjunct Professor at ESAD — Faculty of Arts and Design, and a senior researcher at esad—idea, where she coordinates the research line "album — itinerários em desenho" (album — design itineraries). Alongside her teaching and research, she regularly draws and paints.
