José Teixeira

José Teixeira has a PhD in biology and is the coordinator of CIIMAR's Environmental and Social Sustainability Office. He is the coordinator of the ‘Charcos com Vida’ campaign, which has been dedicated to raising awareness, monitoring, building and conserving small terrestrial water bodies and their biodiversity since 2011, and co-coordinator of the ‘MoRe Porto’ and ‘Ponderful’ projects, dedicated to restoring and enhancing small water bodies. He has extensive experience in using biodiversity as an educational and pedagogical resource, including more than 10 teacher trainings and 150 educational activities with schools and families. Author of more than 20 scientific articles in international journals. Permaculturist and member of the Espaço Compasso association.
