PhD in the Polytechnic University of Valencia, with the doctoral thesis From the Gesture to Matrix Language. Study of the Morphological Alterations of the Drawing of the Letter in the Virtual Space, obtained the Diploma of Advanced Studies in 2007. Master in Industrial Design by the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto in 1998, with Post-Graduation in Design of Equipment and Industrial Product by the Institute of Design of the Porto University, Gomes Teixeira Foundation, in 1992. Graduated in Communication Design by the Superior School of Fine Arts of Porto in 1988. He has given several communications, in particular in the projects he coordinated, has given pedagogical guidance to several award-winning projects, participated in several juries, has published works in several books and magazines and has worked as a designer since 1986. He is a researcher in the areas of communication design / digital typography , emotive design / craft design and in the scope of product design / inclusive design. Lecturer in the Design course at ESAD since 1989 and associate professor at the same institution since 2002. Lecturer in the Master's Degree in Industrial Design at the Faculty of Engineering of Porto and ESAD in 2004 and 2005. Consultant at the Portuguese Design Center since 1998.
