João Faria
João Faria is a designer and creative director of DROP, a studio he founded in 1996, specialized in the development of identities, visual and graphic editing in the area of cultural production, particularly for events or publications related to the theater, music, cinema or architecture.
Since then, it has collaborated with several public and private institutions, among them the Porto City Council, Porto 2001 European Capital of Culture, Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto, FNAC, EMI-Valentim de Carvalho, *Ministry of Culture, Guimarães 2012 European Capital of Culture, Lisbon's Architecture Triennial and MAAT - Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology. He also was responsible for the graphic design of the São João National Theater between 2003 and 2010. Since 2006, he is responsible for the graphic design of Curtas Vila do Conde International Film Festival. In the last years, he developed the design of books, in particular for the Dafne Publishing House, Books of Architecture, including projects in partnership with the Swiss publisher Lars Muller Publishers.
