Francisca Alemão is a communication designer who graduated from the Matosinhos School of Arts and Design (2022) and holds a Master’s degree in Data Visualisation and Information Design from SHIFTA by Elisava (2024).

She has been part of the ESAD Student Support Office team since 2022, where she helps coordinate the mentoring programme and supports national and international students in various contexts. She is a regular presence both during school presentation visits as in outreach activities at secondary schools.

Between 2024 and 2025, she taught Visual Education, Technology, Art and Design at Colégio INED, to pupils in Years 5 to 10.

In 2025, she joined the educational team of the Porto Design Biennale in collaboration with Casa do Design, leading guided tours of the main exhibition for groups ranging from Year 2 pupils to senior citizens.

Her journey has been characterised by a strong commitment to cultural, educational and institutional mediation, with a particular focus on her ability to build close relationships with diverse audiences and to foster learning and participatory experiences.
