ESAD is present at the exhibition — To Add One Meter to an Anonymous Mountain and RongRong’s East Village
In the year that marks the 30th anniversary of the work To Add One Meter to an Anonymous Mountain and RongRong's East Village, ESAD was present at the opening of the exhibition that gave it its name, held at the Ochre Space gallery in Lisbon. Coordinated and curated by João Miguel Barros, the exhibition brings together 22 images by Chinese photographers who have marked the history of international contemporary and performance art.
The opening took place on 13 May 2025, with the presence of ESAD's Pedagogical Director, Tomé Quadros, representing the school's Board of Directors.
This collaboration arises from a common interest in photography, performance art and their intersections, recognising the importance of promoting international dialogue and contact with different artistic practices.
The exhibition can be visited until 21 June 2025. On 31 May, at 16:00, there will be a talk with the participation of:
- Filipe Figueiredo, Assistant Professor at IADE - European University, researcher in the field of photography and the performing arts
- Cláudia Ribeiro, researcher in philosophy, curatorship and Asian studies and translator of classical Chinese texts
- João Miguel Barros, curator and lawyer, founder of Ochre Space, with extensive experience in contemporary photography projects in China, Japan and Portugal
