The projects developed by the teams of Ana Catarina Azevedo (Gelalga) and Anna Matilda Oxelfelt (Veganisco), students of the Degree in Communication Design, were selected and are part of the 10 finalist teams of the 4th edition of the Ecotrophelia 2020 Award, organised by Portugal Foods. This selection aims to determine the winning team that represents Portugal in Ecotrophelia Europe 2020.
Resulting from an institutional partnership between ESAD and the Faculty of Biotechnology of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, these projects were developed by multidisciplinary teams, focused on a new agro-food product development, under the scope of the Packaging Design area.
This selection aims to determine, in the Ecotrophelia Portugal 2020 National Competition, which will take place on September 3rd at Casa do Vinho Verde, in Porto, the winning team that represents Portugal in the Ecotrophelia Europe 2020.
The Ecotrophelia Award has the ambition to promote innovation, entrepreneurship and competitiveness in the agro-food sector at national and European level, bringing together and challenging students, teachers, researchers and professionals in the sector to reflect on the eco-innovative products of the future. This goal translates into the organisation of national and European food eco-innovation competitions, which include the ECOTROPHELIA Portugal 2020 Award, promoted by PortugalFoods.
