A specialist in garden and landscape architecture and in the history of architecture, Maurizio Oddo has published several projects and articles in national and international journals, most notably Domus and The Plan. Among his published books are: Dalla Parte dell'Architettura, Architettura e Decorazione, Leonardo Ricci e il Monte degli Ulivi, Architettura Contemporanea in Sicilia, Lo Spazio Contemporaneo della sacralità. He is also the director of several publishing collections.
His most recent book, Albero dell'Architettura, published in 2023, deals with different narrative lines that intertwine the relationship between the tree and the city, the design of trees in architecture, and their relationship with interior and exterior spaces, also raising awareness of the danger of deforestation, with the awareness that "architecture and nature have been in constant conflict since their inception".
The conference and book presentation will take place on 25 January at 15:00 in the ESAD auditorium with the participation of architects Roberto Cremascoli and Alessandro Baracco.
