Marco Balesteros has a degree in Communication Design, xplores the book as an expanded territory and performative space. He started this research in his master's degree at Werkplaats Typografie and at the Jan Van Eyck Academy.

Founder of studio Letra, he is also a lecturer/curator at DELLI and guest adjunct professor at the Masters in Graphic Design at ESAD.CR. Balesteros is co-founder, with Alexandre Balgiu and Sara Vaz, of T-I-M-E, The Institute of Mirrors and Echoes. Together with Sara Vaz, he develops the Escola Provisória para Nada, an artistic and pedagogical project between rurality and large urban centres.

The conference is free and takes place on the 24th May, at 17:00, in the auditorium of ESAD. The workshop, aimed at first-year students of the Master in Communication Design, takes place on 25 and 26 May.
