The Luga Poster Biennale is an international event dedicated to the art of the poster, bringing together work by graphic designers from all over the world. With a strong emphasis on social, cultural and environmental themes, the biennale celebrates visual creativity, highlighting the impact of design on contemporary communication. As well as exhibiting posters, the event includes talks, workshops and debates, providing a platform for dialogue between professionals and the public about the power of graphic communication.
The Posters, Posters, Posters exhibition at the Vila do Conde Memory Centre features more than 60 original posters designed by the guest designer, ESAD lecturer João Faria, over the course of a career spanning more than twenty years. At the opening of the Luga Poster Biennale, João Faria also gave a lecture on his work. In addiction to teaching, João Faria is also a member and collaborator of esad—idea.
The International Exhibition will be available at ESMAD, Politécnico do Porto, from 27 September to 31 October. João Faria's exhibition can be visited at the Vila do Conde Memory Centre from 27 September to 1 December.
