ESAD's Fashion Design Degree students were invited by the concept store to develop a collection within the THE Design concept, without detracting from the designer/student identity.

The concept results from intense research and a huge desire to create something original and timeless, outside the trend circuit. Dressing creatively challenging the imagination in an overly homogenous world was what stimulated the start of this project in 2006 in Porto, in 2010 in Lisbon, and in 2012 in the Algarve. The collections include unique and exclusive pieces from designers from around the world: Issey Miyake and Moyuru (Japan), Monies and Shoe Box (Denmark), Rundholz and Trippen (Germany), Umitunal (Turkey), Manuelle Guibal, Barbara Lang (Italy) and Mois Mont (France), Art-point (Austria), Un-namable, Nuovo Borgo, Simona Tagliaferri, Boboutic and Maria Calderara (Italy), Barbara Alan (England), Demoo Isabel Quaresma and Carla Pontes (Portugal), among others.

The best projects developed by ESAD students will be sold exclusively in THE Porto, Lisbon and Algarve stores.

The works will be presented in a parade integrated in the ESAD 2016 Week, on March 10, at 4 p.m., where a representative coordinate of the collection developed by each student will be shown.

This project is part of the Project II course, 3rd year, coordinated by Maria Gambina and supported by Aurélio Marques Ferreira and Catarina Lopes.
