
A five day car design workshop in Turin, an important business and cultural centre in northern Italy and the home of the Italian royal family. This location is also globally known for it’s automotive industry and we intend to visit and study some of the most iconic works from *Pininfarina, *Maserati* and many other renowned automotive brands dating from 1700 to present day.
The workshop was hosted by ESAD and open to all students interested in the automotive area and with great appreciation to this unique opportunity to enter such iconic facilities. Students came from different backgrounds and experiences, current and ex-students from ESAD, Universidade do Minho, Universidade da Beira Interior, Instituto Politécnico do Porto and ERASMUS+.
An active on-the-move workshop to study historical, iconic and modern automotive design within the Italian context. All museums and institutes had facilities to accommodate study group with guided tours and seminars. This workshop was a unique opportunity to experience some of the most influential car designs ever made, becoming part of an impressive Italian heritage and respected all around the world.

June 26 — Travel to Turin from Porto
June 27 — Visit the Lingotto building (old Fiat factory) + Maserati factory
June 28 — Visit the IED — European Institute of Design + Automotive Museum
June 29 — Visit the Turin city + Pininfarina Museum
June 30 — Travel back to Porto
