On 16 October, students from the Undergraduate Degree in Design — Interiors, Fashion, Product and Graduate Degree in Design — Interiors visited the Pole Pole self-build project as part of a field trip.

Pole Pole presents a self-build structure, which was originally presented in 2022 in Mathare, Nairobi, by Studio Giacomo Moor in collaboration with the NGO LiveinSlums. It comes to life in Parque 25 de Abril in Matosinhos, through a self-build workshop with the local community, led by the design studio team.

This project is part of the 4th edition of the Porto Design Biennale and is curated by Esad lecturer Eleonora Fedi, who is also involved in the production of other co-design projects conceived for this edition.
