Digital Arts and Multimedia students win awards in Fuerteventura

ESAD recently celebrated the success of its Digital Arts and Multimedia students (3rd year) in an international film project in Fuerteventura. The Erasmus BIP project, organised by the Escuela de Arte de Fuerteventura, brought together mixed teams from various European faculties with an ambitious goal: to create a film from scratch in just one week and submit it to the competition.

The Triumph of "CATAYSA"
The team mentored by lecturer Carlos Amaral achieved maximum recognition with the film "CATAYSA". ESAD student Michal Wilk took on the role of screenwriter and director, winning the following awards:

  • Best Film (main category)
  • Best Cinematography (in partnership with a student from the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples)

As part of the award, the film will now be guaranteed distribution at various film festivals.

ESAD's talent also extended to writing, with student David Costa winning the Best Screenplay award for the film "Solus", also developed in collaboration with the Neapolitan institution.

The ESAD delegation also included the active participation of student João Yedynak, completing a successful trio that demonstrated the strength of the school's practical and creative side in an environment of international co-creation.
