Five ESAD students — Beatriz Couto, Catarina Pinho, Eva Ribeira, Inês Machado, Maria Ribaldinho — were among the ten finalists in the previous edition of the ArchiRevi Challenge, a competition promoted by Revigrés in partnership with Archi Summit, which challenges future professionals in the fields of Architecture, Design and Civil Engineering to rethink small spaces with sustainable and innovative ceramic solutions.

The winning projects were included in the exhibition of the 8th edition of Archi Summit, which took place between 8 and 11 July 2025. Over three days, the event brought together leading names in national and international architecture in a programme marked by conferences, debates and exhibitions on sustainable construction and the transformation of urban spaces.

Under the theme Re-Defining Spaces, the 2024 edition of the ArchiRevi Challenge proposed the reinterpretation of small spaces through ceramic wall and floor tiles, with a focus on good practices in sustainable construction. The proposals presented by the participants covered contexts as diverse as apartments, commercial spaces and restaurant areas, and stood out for their creativity in combining colours, formats and alternative uses of ceramics.
