ESAD lecturers and researchers Ana Sofia Cardoso and Raquel Salomé have produced a paper that has just been recognised internationally at the AHFE - Applied Human Factors and Ergonomics conference, held in Nice (France). The article, "Matter by Design. How can circular economy play a role in building green efficient and sustainable through innovative use of Mediterranean materials", won the "AHFE Best Paper - Sustainable Built Environment" award, having been selected from over a thousand articles.

The AHFE organisers awarded a diploma to the work presented, considering it an award for the quality of the research carried out. Following this recognition, Ana Sofia Cardoso, a lecturer in Interior Design and Product Design at ESAD, and Raquel Salomé, a lecturer in Digital Arts and Multimedia Design and Interior Design, were invited to participate with content in AHFE's periodic scientific publication.
