With a focus on editorial and exhibition design, Andrew Howard presents the conference Book Cover Design and runs a workshop as part of the ESAD Open Talks.

Andrew Howard is a British graphic designer, educator, curator and design writer who has lived and worked in Porto since 1993. He is also the founder of Studio Andrew Howard, a studio specialising in design for cultural and educational organisations and institutions. In 2013, he founded the Porto Design Summer School, an independent course specialising in editorial design and run by a team of renowned international designers. She has work published in Eye Magazine, Adbusters and the Looking Closer anthologies, among other print and online publications. He is also a member of the International Society of Typographic Designers (ISTD).

The conference is free and takes place on December 14th at 17:00 in the auditorium of ESAD. The workshop takes place on the 14th and 15th with the students of the 1st year of the Masters in Communication Design.
