Andreia Faria's book ‘Canina’ won the Casino da Póvoa Literary Prize. The jury, composed of Ana Paula Tavares, João Gobern, Margarida Ferra, Maria de Lurdes Sampaio, and Ricardo Marques, highlighted ‘the density of the writing and the choice of language in the treatment of the body and the singular way in which it takes on contemporaneity’.
Andreia C. Faria is the author of ‘Flúor’ (2013), ‘Um pouco acima do lugar onde melhor se escuta o coração’ (2015) and ‘Tão Bela Como Qualquer Rapaz’ (2017). Andreia has been collaborating with esad-idea since 2018 and is part of the editorial coordination team.
The Casino da Póvoa Literary Prize is part of the Correntes d'Escritas Literary Festival, whose 26th edition is in Póvoa de Varzim.
Andreia C. Faria has been awarded prizes throughout her career, most notably the SPA Authors Prize for Best Poetry Book for ‘Tão bela como qualquer rapaz’ in 2017 and the Inês de Castro Foundation Literary Prize for ‘Alegria para o fim do mundo’, published in 2019.
