esad—idea invites you to the public presentation of the results of the Biofiligrana project, a research initiative that brings together design, medicine and engineering to explore new possibilities in the development of medical devices inspired by the tradition of Portuguese filigree.

Developed by a multidisciplinary team of researchers from esad—idea and partners from the biomedical and technological sectors, the project aims to demonstrate how cultural heritage can contribute to innovation in healthcare.

In this session, the main results achieved will be presented, including new biofiligree proposals, the research processes developed and the initial biomechanical and functional tests carried out.

The presentation will be followed by an exhibition of prototypes, materials and project documentation, providing an opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the research process and the final pieces developed. The event will conclude with a reception, offering an informal opportunity to meet and chat with the research team.
