Short Courses
T-Splines and SubD in Fusion 360
This course is aimed at Industrial Design students who wish to deepen their skills in advanced 3D modelling using Fusion 360. Focusing on T-Splines and subdivision modelling (SubD) tools, participants will learn how to create complex, organic and free-form shapes with a high degree of control and precision. Through practical exercises and guided projects, trainees will explore Fusion 360's ‘Sculpt’ modelling environment, learning how to combine hard and soft surfaces, manage the topology of shapes, and transition between solid- and surface-based workflows. Aspects such as design intent, manufacturability, and preparation for prototyping or rendering will also be covered. By the end of the course, participants will be able to confidently use Fusion 360's T-Spline/SubD tools, applying them to create expressive, technically consistent, production-ready 3D models.
