Every year, ESAD promotes a study trip to Madrid, with the aim of promoting the heterogeneity of cultural expressions and of experiencing its specific characteristics in their students.
This study visit aims at helping to understand and identify possible aspects of the identification and cultural differentiation of Portuguese and Spanish in the context of Peninsular geography. As future designers, students are expected to take an inquiring attitude towards the world and to the design, providing the opportunity to directly contact masterpieces of Spanish and European plastic expression, aiming at understanding art in its historical, temporal and geographical context.
It is a dynamic activity, framed in the teaching-learning process as a complementary extension of classes, contributing to the development of civic, ethical, permanent criticism, solidarity and cultural interest behaviors.
The trip to Madrid happens for already 17 editions, this year with a group of 120 students accompanied by a group of teachers.
