The workshop SuperVeloz, a tribute to the centenary of Joan Trochut, author of the typographical system Super Tipo Veloz, part of the concept of digital post-printing, based on a selection of methacrylate laser cut modules, from which develop compositions for the elaboration of a poster. The goal is to combine digital and typographic techniques, allowing you to explore different possibilities and obtain a physical result in a simple and quick way.

The SuperVeloz workshop integrates the programming of Post-Digital Letterpress Printing, an event organized by several colleges, which aims to reflect on the current state of typographic practice and research, based on the growing interest of modern printers and typographers , the current generation of graphic designers and visual artists.

The workshop takes place at ESAD and is coordinated by Andreu Balius and Roberto Gamonal. Andreu Balius is a type designer and founder of Type Republic, having been awarded several awards for excellence for his work. Member of AGI - Alliance Graphique Internationale, TDC - Type Directors Club and ATypI - Association Typographique Internationale, he teaches typography and type design at EINA - University School of Design and Art, in Barcelona. Balius was at ESAD for a conference and workshop, within the scope of the 10th Typography Meeting. Roberto Gamonal is a professor at the Faculty of Information Sciences at the Complutense University of Madrid and divides his research between journalism, typography and design, through articles or participation in various congresses, lectures and conferences. Since 2012, she has focused on teaching skills in composing and printing crafts in teaching typography and graphic design, through collaboration with the typographic collectives Unos Tipo Duros and Familia Plómez. Presented the conference * Super Tipo Veloz: Rotu / Cali / Tipo / Grafía * at ESAD, under the ERASMUS + program for teacher mobility.
