The class 2.6 of the Bachelor course in Product Design within the curricular discipline Projecto I has done on April 21st, 22nd and 23rd a Workshop of Black Pottery in Gondar/Amarante, coordinated by the professor Dirk Loyens and oriented by the local craftsman César Teixeira.

Some students had the chance to get in contact and experience the materials, machines and pottery techniques, and work on the lifting of the pieces using the low wheel. On May 16th the students will go back to Gondar in order to assist to the traditional process of cooking the pieces of pottery in Soenga.

This workshop has counted on the support of Amarante City Council, especially of the vice-president’s, and also of the Associação EnRedeArte (Liliana Abreu).
