Within the Postgraduate course in Motion Design, Mário Melo Costa orients a Cinematography workshop from June 17th to 19th at ESAD.

Mário Melo Costa studied Sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Lisbon University and at Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia. He proceeded his studies in cinematography at Kodak Film Academy (Paris, 2003) and also on the Advanced Cinematography Course, with Rudolfo Denevi, at EICTV (Cuba, 2005). He participated in several workshops promoted by Arri, Sony and Kodak. He directed and photographed many documentaries in Cuba, France, Belgium and Turkey. He developed animation films for musical productions and contemporary operas, not only in Portugal, but also for the Philharmonic Orchestra of Luxembourg and Vlaamse Opera and Opera Studio Vlaaderen in Belgium. In 2008 founded the film company Infilmes and became a partner of Indivídios’ Film Company, where he is now a director and cinematographer.
