Ventos do Oriente is the name of the exhibition that AALC - Association of Luso-Chinese Artists presents at ESAD, which also includes a lecture, a demonstration and a Chinese caligafia workshop.

The exhibition covers four themes, from the mysteries of calligraphy to music, games, books and paintings, Buddhism and tea culture and the charms of the Qiantangjiang River. The works presented were created on rice paper, using Chinese ink, in an approach to oriental writing techniques.

Dayong is the Chinese calligrapher for the exposition and guidance counselor and workshop. He was born in Hangzhou, in 1953, and has since served as director of the Hangzhou Municipal Propaganda Department and deputy secretary general of the Standing Committee of the Hangzhou People's Congress. He currently holds the position of deputy director of the Institute of Painting and Calligraphy of the China Authors Association, is a member of the Zhejiang Calligraphy Association and chairman of the Hangzhou Painting and Calligraphy Elders Association.

Dayong began to learn calligraphy from a child and developed several researches in the area of ??script and oracle. His work in calligraphy earned him an ammount prizes in China. In 2011, 2013 and 2015, he held four exhibitions and published five books on calligraphy, including The Clerical Roadmap of Poems of the West Lake. Dayong also edited five portfolios of painting, photography and calligraphy.
