Vânia Rovisco is an actress, choreographer and visual/performing artist. At ESAD she’s coordinating a workshop focused on the interaction between the body and a set of objects developed by the students of the Master in Interior Design, within the broader context of The Object Like a Body Extention.

In The Object Like a Body Extention workshop, coordinated by the architect João Mendes Ribeiro with the support of Ana Feijão, the students developed a set of unprecedented objects that constitute a reflection on use, reuse and their reinterpretation concerning the relation between body and space.

In this workshop by Vânia Rovisco the movements of the body within the space are now choreographed, and the transformation of the space that results from the physical presence is registered. The objects are interpreted as extensions of the body, which interacts in space, modifying their shape and giving them new meaning.

This initiative occurs within the ESAD's Master in Interior Design, coordinated by Maria Milano, during the preparation process for the Portugal’s participation in the Milan Triennial, in 2016. It’s one of the three workshops that integrates The Reinvented Object module, curated by Maria Milano.
