The Matosinhos Safety and Civil Protection Office challenged ESAD students to develop a collective project as part of the commemorations of the International Day of Civil Protection.

Based on the motto Let's Save the Planet, the challenge is to build a spaceship from an ambulance, materialize the extraterrestrial firefighters and the Earth, having as a starting point the following concept: Extraterrestrial firefighters travel in a spaceship to Planet Earth, to save it from destruction.

This collaborative project aims to raise awareness among the educational community and visitors regarding environmental protection. In this sense, a poster contest and other forms of artistic expression was also launched to the schools of Matosinhos, in order to select three original works representing themes related to environmental protection.

The International Day of Civil Protection will take place between March 1 and 4, in the XII edition of the Matosinhos Civil Protection Fair, and will include official visits by members of the Government.
