ESAD was one of four schools invited to participate in the The Innovative Apparel Show 2017 in Frankfurt, an event that combines textile clothing innovation with new processing technologies.
Since 2016 the students (2015/16 finalists) are developing their coordinates under three key themes - Textile Effects, Creative Engineering and Smart Textiles - with the support of Maria Gambina, coordinator of the Degree in Fashion Design.
The works are now presented at the event in Germany, from May 9 to 12, at the Frankfurt Messe, with the winning entries being chosen at the end.
ESAD participates in the event together with ESMOD Paris (France), the Accademia Italiana in Florence (Italy) and the Hochschule Trier (Germany).
Mariana Almeida won the 2nd place in the Public vote and the TextilWirtschaft Prize, a German magazine of the specialty.
