STAND UP SEA - Illustrations of Poems about the Sea is an illustration project, organised by the Erasmus+ and International Relations department, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the programme at ESAD.

All partner schools that have accompanied us throughout these 30 years in this journey of personal enrichment can participate by submitting their projects, according to the terms and conditions, in the online form.

The sea has touched the emotions and senses of everyone for centuries. Calm and wild, dangerous and beautiful, lonely and mysterious. From the bottom of the ocean to the waves that slumber on the beach, the sea has inspired generations of poets and illustrators. Vital, natural, indispensable, it surrounds Europe and shapes the continent. This project seeks to foster reflection on the relationship between European identity and the sea, strengthening links between participating HEIs.

The illustrations and poems will be exhibited, in May 2023, during ESAD's International Week.
