Sebastião Peixoto, graduated in Painting from Faculdade de Belas Artes do Porto, is a freelance illustrator, who collaborates with several publishers, such as Planeta, Leya, Porto Editora and La Fragatina.

He has published works in several fanzines, magazines and newspapers and regularly participates in collective exhibitions of painting and illustration. He has several national and international distinctions: in 2012, the book Quando eu seja grande was nominated as the best children's book by the Sociedade Portuguesa de Autores. In 2014, it won an Honourable Mention at the 7th International Illustration Meeting of S. João da Madeira and, in 2016, it was selected for the Ibero American Catalogue of Illustration. He also won a gold award at THESIF - The Seoul Illustration Fair, in 2017.

Sebastião Peixoto is one of the guests of the Post-Graduate Course in Illustration and Digital Animation.
