Red Bull has introduced Red Bull Doodle Art, a global competition empowering a new generation of artists, where art and technology meet new opportunities for young creatives.
The competition, which brings together artists from 62 countries, aims to represent and boost the creativity of participants.
The winner from each country will exhibit their project at the Red Bull Doodle World Art Final in Amsterdam (Netherlands) in May, where they will also have the opportunity to participate in a three-day global workshop and where the global winner of the competition will be announced.
The presentation took place on March 30th, at 2:30 pm, in the ESAD auditorium, and was attended by students from various training areas.
The Red Bull Doodle Art National Final counted with a jury of experts, composed by the illustrator Júlio Dolbeth, the designer Daniel Cunha and the teacher Joana Afonso. The evaluation of the drawings took into account three criteria: creativity, artistic competence and the way the doodle conveys a sense of love for life. The exhibition can be seen by the public at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon.
António Amaro and Anita Fumega, alumni and student of the Degree in Communication Design at ESAD, won 2nd prize and 3rd prize in the Red Bull Doodle Art, respectively. Among the 40 finalists in the competition were also students Alberto Remelhe, Ana Campos and Mariana Fernandes.
