Students of the 2018/19 Degree in Jewelery present their work at the Tincal Lab, at Bombarda Shopping Center, from 2 to 20 September.
The works presented reflect the search for an individual language, according to the principles of the contemporary/authorial aspect of jewelery. Each student sought to synthesize the knowledge acquired during their academic training, creating a collection of jewelery pieces in a personal, systemic and judicious manner.

Scars - Necklaces
Self-knowledge is related to the world around us. My biggest influence in this work was social networks, as a theme for reflection. What we share on the internet is primarily a projection of each of us into the world. My goal in creating these pieces was to look for weaknesses and represent masks we use to protect them.

Emotions - Necklaces, Bracelets
Emotions is a reflective collection where I materialize my interpretation and sensation of 8 emotions. These emotions are defined as the basic / main emotions that, in states of greater or less intensity or intersection between them, originate all others, according to the integrative psycho-evolutionary theory, called Wheel of Emotions (1980), by psychologist Robert Plutchik Thus, through different forms, aesthetics and materials I conveyed to the jewelery my reflection on each of these emotions.

Step by Step - Necklace
Filled with meaning and dreams, the pendants of the 'Step by Step' collection, through their light and figurative language, are able to capture future moments and others we have been through, experiences that can be shared and preserved within these little jewels. eternalizing your story.

My Angels - Waist, Necklaces
The shapes in this collection are based on the game Tangram and the Chinese Zodiac. The main piece will be the sign of each Year, in this case 2019 is the Pig. All pieces are constructed through a combination of geometric shapes. The aim of the collection is that each piece functions as symbolic armor, meeting the universal idea of protection and the charms around us.

Generation - Necklaces, earrings
Generation is themed “the women of my life”. So, I started from the idea of the 4 generations that make up my family (child, teenager, woman, senior), each having a piece that represents them, because they all have different tastes, personalities and life forms.

Forever - Necklaces, pendants, pin, rings
This is a collection that aims to question the durability of nature. There are six pieces inspired by 3 elements of nature, the stones, the trees and the flowers. Three of the pieces use natural elements, with different durability times, and the rest use substitutes for these man-made elements. While the first 3 pieces highlight a gradation in time, the second group of pieces underlines man's need to transform and recreate nature, trying to stop the effect of the passage of time.

Grills - Parts for Teeth
This collection explores the Grillz typology, building on historical research to recreate a little-used piece recently recovered and essentially associated with pop celebrity culture. Three pieces were created inspired by three historical examples: the influential women of certain civilizations who removed their front teeth to replace them with a gold band; the technique of sharpening teeth practiced as ritual by Mexican, African and Asian peoples; the habit of darkening teeth to black predominantly practiced in Southeast Asia and Oceania.
