Students from the Master in Interior Design at ESAD, together with the colleagues from the SUPSI - University of Interior Architecture of Lugano, developed a project to rehabilitate an abandoned commercial space in Porto, presented in January, in Switzerland.
At the beginning of the school year, SUPSI students came to Portugal to, with ESAD students, visit the area of the Rua Latino Coelho, to carry out the necessary surveys and to define the project approaches that will result in the conversion of this old commercial space in a coworking space.
On January 17 and 18, ESAD students travelled to Switzerland to present the project's developments, which was attended by teachers from both schools, the director of the Interior Architecture course at SUPSI and the prestigious Belgian architect Tristan Boliver.
During this study trip to Lugano, ESAD students also had the opportunity to visit works of intense architectural value by Peter Zumtor, an important Swiss architect and interior designer.
