Regarding the 8th edition of the Tecnometal award, under the theme “Ecodesign”, the lecturer Raquel Salomé was awarded due to her article Conception of energetic modules for building coating, published in 2012. The article is based on a revision of a chapter from her PhD thesis in Industrial Engineering and Management from FEUP, entitled Mediterranean - Interactions in Product Design. Cultural identity as a reference for a sustained project activity.
The development of this project has the technical support of FirstStep Company, whose final goal is to develop a methodological strategy for the production of a hybrid solar project. Uses passive solar systems: solar protection elements, cross ventilation, thermal mass storage, Trombe wall effect and Chaminé wall effect and active systems: Solar collectors for AQS production, and photovoltaic system. The concept is embodied in a modular assembly system for the facade cladding of buildings, consisting of technical multi-disciplinary alveoli, which incorporate income based on eco-efficient systems. It also describes the development of a physical prototype of a solar collector for AQS production and presents the discussion of some tests carried out, in which the built prototype is one of the constant subjects of the survey of the state of the art.
The award ceremony will take place on November 24, at Exponor, around 14:30.
