The Young Illustrator's Award "Câmara Municipal de Amarante". is integrated within the Bienal Internacional de Ilustração Solidária da Ajudaris, taking place between 4 and 10 September, 2017, at our city.

This project is an initiative from Ajudaris, in partnership with the Municipal City Hall from Amarante and the Fundação Manuel António da Mota. It is directed to professional and non-professional illustrators from all nationalities, as well as to all the community who wishes to participate.

Filipa Viana, Francisca Ramalho, Pedro Sampaio, Rita do Lago and Sérgio Torres, students from the Post Graduated Course in Illustration and Digital Animation, are a part of the list of twelve finalists chosen by an international jury, composed by Teresa Cortez (PT), Sandra Fiz (ES), Fernando Pérez Hernando (ES), Marc Parchow (PT), Marcos Guardiola/MAGUMA (ES) and Daniel Moreira (PT).
