
Miguel Ramal, ERASMUS+ student in the Degree in Communication Design 2019/20, won the first Uruguayan Illustration Award, in the category Juvenile and Children's.
Miguel Ramal's work oscillates between illustration and drawing, as transversal tools in image creation and communication processes. He has collaborated with several institutions, such as the Museu Valenciano de Brinquedos, EASD Valencia, Clube Criativo de Madrid, APIV, among others.
The Uruguayan Illustration Award intends to promote and divulge internationally the community of illustration and visual arts. In this 7th edition, the invited country was Spain, in an exchange with Irudika - International Meeting of Illustration. The jury was composed by Virginia Mórtola, Gabriel Pasarisa and Eduardo Sganga.
Miguel Ramal won this award with a project developed at ESAD, in the scope of the Illustration curricular unit, guided by Mariana Rio and Emílio Remelhe.
