
GENESIS project, created by the students of the Degree in Product Design, Joaquim Oliveira, João Barroso and Simão Chaves, won the first edition of the Call For Innovation contest promoted by ERT & Simoldes, in the category of interior design for cars.
The competition aims to distinguish innovation from the technologies for the automotive interior of the future, through three strands: New Solutions, Interior Design and Functionalisation of Materials. Included in the conference program RE-DESIGN FOR PERFORMANCE, COTEC Portugal and Green Project Awards, the award ceremony of the ERT & Simoldes Call for Competition Innovation was attended by a selected jury, with Fernando Merino, ERT Innovation Director, Júlio Grilo, Simoldes Engineering and Innovation Director, Rui Mendonça, Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the Master's Degree in Industrial Design and Product Development at the University António Sousa Correia, Specialist in Materials Science and Engineering and Administrator of Omniflow, and Jorge Portugal, Managing Director of Cotec.
The prize was presented by Ana Teresa Lehmann, Secretary of State for Industry, in a ceremony held on June 28, at the auditorium of Porto Inova Building.
