Ivan Hunga Garcia and Eduardo Bernardino, students of the Degree in Fashion Design, won the first and third prize, respectively, in the 2021 edition of the Concurso Novos Criadores PFN, an action of the project Portuguese Fashion News, organized by ASM - Associação Selectiva Moda. In this year's edition, the student Mafalda Ferreira was awarded the third prize.

The awards of the Young Creators Portuguese Fashion News competition, concerning the 2021 editions and the first edition of 2022, were awarded during the event celebrating the 30 years of activity of the Selectiva Moda Association, last September.

Ivan Hunga Garcia was supported by the company Somelos, Eduardo Bernardino by IDEPA and Mafalda Ferreira by Carvema Têxtil. The big winner, in addition to the monetary prize, also has direct entry to the next edition of Portugal Fashion Bloom.

The New Creators PFN Contest is directed to all national fashion schools, with the objective of stimulating synergies between the industry and young designers, who use fabrics offered by partner companies to create their outfits. The Portuguese Fashion News project aims to promote the internationalisation of the fashion area, and is funded by Portugal 2020, under Compete 2020 - Competitiveness and Internationalisation Operational Programme and through the European Regional Development Fund.
