Ashma Karki, a graduate student in Fashion Design, presents in PORTUGAL FASHION / BLOOM FW 19/20 the collection that won her the 1st prize in the 2nd edition of the New Creators Contest PFN in 2018.

Based on the theme WELLTH is the new WEALTH, and with the support of Tintex, Ashma Karki presented a coordinate that shows a strong influence on the current consumption habits and the repercussions for the environment. Through the interpretation of a plastic trash bag and the use of exaggerated volumes, the proposal presented sought to problematize the amount of garbage produced as opposed to the freedom of movement that allows the wearer.

Present at the event, which will be held from March 14 to 17 at Oporto Customs House, are the students Maria Meira (winner BLOOM 2017) and Rita Sá (honorary mention Sangue Novo 2017; winner Montado de Sobro and Cork 2018). The students Carolina Sobral and 0.9 Virus (Filipe Ferreira) will participate in BLOOM Upload, a new platform of the event, which intends to introduce new designers with a more interactive presentation format.
