Maria Meira was one of the two winners of the BLOOM FW 18/19 competition, with the collection developed at the end of her degree at ESAD. The two winners will have the opportunity to present their collections in the editions of October 2018 and March 2019 of Portugal Fashion, with the support of mentoring and guidance and technical support in the parade of the BLOOM platform. Also a monetary incentive will be awarded, in the amount of two thousand euros, which aims to support the production and development of future work.

Futhermore, five of the designers who presented their collections in this Fall / Winter 18/19 edition of BLOOM Portugal Fashion are former ESAD students: Joana Braga, Beatriz Bettencourt, Nycole, Olimpia Davide and 0.9 Virus / Filipe Ferreira, the latter in virtue of the prize won in the Portugal Fashion News Contest September 2017.

In the BLOOM Competition, ESAD was also represented by Ana Eusébio and Carolina Sobral, who advanced to the last stage of the competition.

It should also be noted that in this edition, former Bloomers David Catalán and Inês Torcato, gradueted by ESAD, have passed the official platform of Portugal Fashion.
