ESAD was present at BLOOM/Portugal Fashion SS'21 on October 17th with the collections Pasmo, Afterlove and Cornucópia, respectively of Marcelo Almiscarado, Victor Huarte and Luis Bisanti, former students of the Degree in Fashion Design.

The Bloom platform aims to provide new designers with parades in a more informal, urban and multi-artistic environment.

There were eight finalist designers and two winners. Marcelo Almiscarado won the jury with the Pasmo collection. The prize includes a paid internship, with the possibility of working with the brands Sonae Fashion (Salsa, MO, Zippy) and to present a project to launch a new brand to the incubator of the Group (Fashion Lab). The former student of the ESAD Fashion Design Degree also received a financial incentive for the creation and development of his collections (4,000 euros), which will be presented in both editions at BLOOM/Portugal Fashion of 2021.

Victor Huarte presented the Afterlove collection, having won the Sonae Fashion Honorable Mention. The distinction includes a monetary award worth 1,000 euros and the marketing of one coordinated by one of the brands in the Sonae Fashion portfolio.

Luis Bisanti, in turn, was among the eight finalists in the competition, with the Cornucópia collection.

The 47th edition of Portugal Fashion took place from October 15 to 17, at Alfândega do Porto.
