The 43rd edition of Portugal Fashion takes place from October 18 to 20, at the Alfândega do Porto building.

ESAD is present at BLOOM - Portugal Fashion SS'19, on October 18th, at 1 p.m., with the collections | a le a | and Britannia, the finalists Rafaela Santos and Víctor Huarte.

| a le a | collection developed with the support of Tintex, seeks to freeze the raw and crude state of childhood by assuming immaturity, preserving innocence, in an attempt of internal reconnection. It approaches and questions concepts such as morality/kindness, sexuality/obscenity, and feminine/fragile subtle in a contemporary context. It presents fluid pieces, fabric manipulations, layers, overlays and large volumetries, in a chromatic palette that goes from ice-white to lavender to cream / nude in a random rhythmic rhythm, the result of children's daydreams. The collection is complemented with accessories - translation of dreams, desires, thoughts - drawn in an analogical way, one by one, giving them uniqueness and authenticity.

Britannia, supported by RIOPELE, bets on an aesthetic that deepens the traditions and elements of classical folklore, presenting, with respect, a reinterpretation of a masculine wardrobe, in order to defend a personal view on fashion : to study the past, observing the present, to project the future. Inspired by the Boat Processions festivities held in June by the Eton School in England, it is part of the critique of an outdated, archaic, and even authoritarian academic system, which focuses on a contemporary aesthetic that updates a set of classic pieces - make crop tops, romantic-style balloon sleeves, shirts that go to dresses and even bodices that redefine the ideal male silhouette.

Also the ex-student Luís Sandão (winner Portuguese Fashion News, 2019), Rita Sá (honorable mention New Blood, 2017; winner Montado de Sobro e Cortiça, 2018 ), Maria Meira (winner BLOOM, 2017) and Joana Braga (winner Portuguese Fashion News, 2017) are present at the parade.
